Blogging Fingers Progress Check: Speedlinking… to Myself!
By admin on Jul 17, 2007 in Blog Marketing
Those of you who are readers of Cash Quests or who have checked out my About page will know that I have been busy writing extra posts for big blogs as a marketing strategy for Blogging Fingers. I wrote most of the guest posts along with a batch of about 5 pillar posts before even launching Blogging Fingers.
My Guest Posts
Why Affiliate Links are the Best form of Blog Advertising - On Problogger.net
Linkbait - It’s a Cliché for a Reason - On John Chow Dot Com
The Blog Logic of Monetising Too Early - On Performancing.com
How to get Popular on Digg: Comment Case Study - On GarryConn.com
I’ve also made a Squidoo Lens for Blogging Fingers, which was really quick and easy because I just worked with the material on my About page. Squidoo lenses rank well in Google and are a great way to get some free links to your blog. If you haven’t made one yet then I highly recommend making one now. If you’re not sure where to start with Squidoo then you might want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you are ready to read my future guide to Squidoo.
Results of my Marketing Strategy
Without giving too much away, those few guest posts were well worth the effort. After just a couple of weeks Blogging Fingers already receives roughly 300 unique visitors per day and those powerful links from guest blogging will help in the long run in terms of Google SERPS rankings. In short, RSS subscriber numbers are rising rapidly and Blogging Fingers is looking like it has a bright future, even if I am still not happy with the layout.

Well done Matt! That’s a nice strategy. Let me know if you’d like to write a guest post on http://blog.exoclick.com
Thanks for the offer, I’m sure I will get round to guest posting on the exoclick blog, that would be great. At the moment I have some more pressing matters like preparing posts to cover for me for this weekend as I will be away for a few days. Be sure to remind be about guest blogging in about a week! I’m sure once my experimenting with Exoclick has progressed a great post will be able to be made from the findings…
That’s good news Matt. I just came by because, I just published your guest post on my blog:
