I agree with Nirmal, quality content is the best tactic. However, I do wish you luck in increasing subscribers. Also, good luck with your ebook, and as I am subscribed, I cannot wait to read it.

Writing an ebook is also something I've wanted to do for a while, but I'm not sure how to go about it and to be honest, I'm too lazy for the work it'll entail, even if the results will be great. It's sad, I need to work harder.

That is a fair criticism. Back to consistent posting it is!

And the blog does still make a solid monthly income, its just stopped increasing with the RSS count!

Well it's pretty simple, the blog used to get almost daily updates I seem to remember but now its seems sporadic.

The blog just kind of ticks over but doesn't do anything remarkable. Not that there is anything wrong with that but it does seem like a bit of a waste of $6000 from whomever purchased it, but maybe it's not if the blog's still making a solid monthly income.

It's a sad day when this happens especially if you've been working your butt off trying to build a site and taking all that kind of advice to increasing subscriber numbers. I work hard on Sciencebase.com and it's topped out at about 3000. I think at whatever level you reach the plateau you probably have to look to a sea change in what you're doing and how you're doing it to get past that sticking point and take it to the next level. This certainly happened when Sciencebase went from an initial 1000 to 1500 and then to 2000 and on to the 3000 spot.

I'd blog about the changes I made at those key points if I knew exactly what had led to the jumps...
