Blogging Fingers Is For Sale: You Can Buy This Blog Now!

Update 2: Blogging Fingers has now been sold for $6000. Subscribe to the RSS feed for more updates.

Update: Blogging Fingers is now for auction on SitePoint.

Blogging Fingers has experienced incredible growth over the last 4 months and it will be very sad to leave.

I am sellng it because it is time for me to move on from blogging (especially blogging about blogging). I believe I have taken everything I can from this type of blogging and I have lots of other bigger money making ideas that can be funded via this sale.

Stats And Rankings

Alexa: 50,675
Technorati Rank: Rank: 16,329
Technorati Authority: 306
PageRank: There is 1 PR4 page, 10 PR3 pages 10 PR2 pages as well as 7 PR1 pages.

Financial Figures

In September, which was the 1st month Blogging Fingers was monetized it earned just under $400 ($380). In the period Sept25th - Oct 25th $338 was earned. There has only been $20 expenditure for advertising so those are almost completely profit.

Income breakdown for September:

  • $199 from Private Ad Sales (sponsored reviews, banner ads, text links)
  • $188 from affiliate sales and referrals

Income breakdown for Oct 1st - Oct 25th (blog stopped being fully maintained on Oct 25th):

  • $75 private ad sales
  • $9 from Text Link Ads
  • $106 from affiliate sales and referrals.

The small income dip is partially due to my experimenting with TNX, which caused the web hosting packages page to be dropped from Google. It is now back on page 1 of the Google SERPS and ready to earn more money.

Traffic

Here is a screenshot from Awstats.

Google analytics reports the same number of unique visitors but fewer PageViews. Here is a screenshot for September (the last full month of traffic) from Google analytics:
sept.png

In October the number of unique visitors is lower overall (7500+). This is partially because I stopped fully maintaining the blog nearly a week ago, and also because traffic sources have shifted from excessive Stumbleupon traffic to quality targeted traffic from the search engines. This is evident because the number of PageViews increased in October despite there being less traffic.

When you buy Blogging Fingers you are not just buying a blog with profit, you get lots of bonuses that bump up its value:

Bonuses

  • 200 (approx) RSS subscribers. These are daily loyal readers and many have blogs of their own. They continue to provide links to Blogging Fingers and are the most valuable type of reader.
  • The Strong Blogging Fingers Brand. I have made a conscious effort to spread the image of Blogging Fingers across the blogosphere by marketing on sites like Stumbleupon, Mybloglog and Sphinn (where Blogging Fingers has experienced 8 visits to the homepage).
  • The highly lucrative Web Hosting Packages landing page. This page is ranked on page 1 of Google out of over 7million competitors for the phrase “web hosting packages”. Moving up just a few positions will prove to be worth a lot of money.

Search Engines Love Blogging Fingers.

Below is a screenshot from Google Webmastertools that shows Blogging Fingers has over 8000 backlinks. Over 2700 links are sprinkled naturally across the 100+ articles that Blogging Fingers sports.

Here are a few examples of search phrases that articles from Blogging Fingers rank on page 1 of the Google SERPS for:

  • web hosting packages (highly lucrative)
  • cashcrate (highly lucrative)
  • cash crate (highly lucrative)
  • niche blogging (converts readers into RSS subscribers)
  • blogging success stories (converts readers into RSS subscribers)

Even More Reasons To Buy Blogging Fingers

  • The community. There are currently 132 posts and 1,245 comments which gives an average of a little over 9 comments per post.
  • You can take Blogging Fingers in any direction. Many of the articles I have written are in-depth blog tips and advice, but others are more light hearted. Blogging Fingers is ready to bloom no matter what direction you decide to branch off in.
  • I know lots of bloggers and lots of bloggers know Blogging Fingers. There is nothing worse than entering a niche without knowing anyone. By taking over Blogging Fingers you automatically have something to connect on with fellow bloggers, meaning you will slot right into the blogosphere straight away and make valuable contacts.
  • I’ve done the hard bit so you don’t have to. Everyone knows that the first few months of a blogs life a lonely ones. It is much harder to keep blogging when it feels like no one is reading. I have taken Blogging Fingers though this period of angst and into early adulthood. It is ready to become a big time player.
  • Everyone wants to own a popular blog about blogging. It seems the standard industry practice is for new bloggers to start up a blog about blogging. This is a desirable niche to be in and is a stepping stone on the way to becoming a blogging celebrity.

If you are worried about updating the blog regularly, I have left over 100 draft post that you can make use of. Some are fully written blog posts that (for whatever reason) I decided not to publish, others are just titles and the rest are somewhere in between.

If you are interested in making an offer, bid on the SitePoint auction.

Well done on your hard work in getting this blog to where it is today Matt - it’s no easy feat in a blogosphere with such a large amount of competition.

I’m not interested in purchasing, but for everyone else’s benefit, what sort of price are you looking for? What would you value the site at?

Very nice! If I wouldn’t have a blog in this niche already, I’d probably be interested. It sure is a pain in the ass to start a blog in this niche from scratch.

Hi Matt,

I am interested. I have no clue as to the value and do not want to insult you with a low offer. Please let me know the range you are entertaining offers.

Thanks,

If “Blogging Fingers” is in the new hand, it’s definitely going to have a different blog personality, since it is not going to be your ideas, your voice or your touch. It’s no more Matt Jone’s “Blogging Fingers”. It’s just “Blogging Fingers”.
