How To Write A Blog Post Hung-over

blog hungoverDepending on your social tendencies this post will somewhat ‘Marmite-like’ (a newly coined term) where you either will love it or hate it.

1. Write a quick and easy list post. All the top bloggers say, with good reason, that writing scan-able lists go down well. Many bloggers know this and so think “Ah! A list, this post must be a pillar post!“, when the truth is it has been squeezed out while hung-over and didn’t take long to write.

2. Use your altered mood to write something a little different from your normal posts. It will make a refreshing change for your readers can lure in other RSS subscribers.

3. Utilise your state of mind. Hopefully, from all the hardcore-offline-networking (HOC) you did last night, you are sick of having people in your general vicinity. This can be taken advantage of because blogging time is alone time!

4. Write a post about how to blog hung-over. This is a fine example of me utilising my cure for bloggers block.

Hopefully these tips will make it seem like that extra shot of ray-nephew you had last night the best thing that ever happened to your blog.

Craig Childs, you are most welcome, I can see HOC becoming a frequently used term…so I thought I’d come up with an abbreviation! …
