Ways To Increase PageRank: Tip No.3

Participate In Problogger’s 31 Day Group Writing Project

Increasing PageRank is ultimately about gaining authoritative inbound links and controlling the flow of PageRank in and out of your site. The Problogger project, entitled “31 Days to Building a Better Blog” is a rare gem of an opportunity to find other blogs, read other tips and importantly increase PageRank by gaining powerful inbound links.

What I am doing

I’m glad to see I have been carrying out Problogger’s latest tip of planning out the week’s posts before his tip was posted. The thought process behind my plan goes something like this:

1. I need to increase PageRank by getting inbound links.
2. Do this by making the most of the 31 day project.
3. Some posts on Blogging Fingers are not tips and so if I continue to post that way many posts will not be able to be submitted.
4. The Answer! Write a 5 part series of tips of ways to improve PageRank, its topical, useful and every post in the series can be submitted to Problogger.

What then entailed was me writing what the 5 tips would be and starting to draft the first tip. This fits in perfectly because with much of the weeks work done it has allowed me to have time each day to write a spare post, which can be used next week when I’m away at the Edinburgh festival.

The Question to You

Darren’s tip was to plan, my tip is to plan how to make the most of the 31 day project. Hopefully planning a weeks worth of posts will become standard practice for all of us because it saves time, increases productivity and reduces the stress of waking up in the morning with no ideas about what to write!
