I have a young blog, less than a month old, and I was admonished by another blog site monitor for responding to comments. He told me I was commenting and not blogging. That kind of scared me away from responding as I am new I did not want to step on accepted etiquete. I see that he may have been among the minority with his opinion. I think I will go back to my original policy of commenting on comments.

i try to respond if the comment requires a response, but my blog is fairly new so i want to try and connect with new readers and hopefully keep them interested in further posts if they see that i respond and actually interact with them

I think admin of the blog should reply to every comment bcoz this would increase his readership and also readers will encourage by this.
