Think of it this way, you are building a brand . . . for yourself. Your name is going out there on job applications and bids and if you are constantly taking on the lowest paying jobs, that is what you will be offered in the future.

I agree with what Matt says- write for yourself would be better rather than accepting $2 for an article. I write for myself and the articles posted in my blog also brings me good returns. Furthermore, if we manage our own sites, we get to retain our own name and identity.

95% of your article submissions should be done automatically with software that will generate as many as you need from content that you find elsewhere, and submits it for you. In the odd occasion that you want to write something yourself, I’ve written a step by step guide check it out if you like http://www.iwritearticles.info/index-1.html

Good luck guys,

Yes, the payment just seems to be getting lower and lower for articles for the reasons you describe.

I think the best approach is to not sell articles. Just keep writing stuff for yourself and then publish it on your blog, or submit your articles to directories to get backlinks. As the traffic builds, monetize your blog with Adsense and affiliate links.

Not only will you have this income, you'll also have all that material that you wrote and own. You can edit it into an ebook and make more money that way.

Sure, this method is not as immediate as writing for others. But I think it's more profitable in the long run.

It's always better for the person that wants to hire a writer because there are always jobs to be seeked. I was offered $1 per 1,000 pageviews, lol. I totally DECLINED it!
